When I was 15 years old I was in my kitchen, home alone, cutting a pineapple. There was a fly that was bussing around my face for the past 2 minutes and it was getting really fucking annoying, so, just for the heck of it, out of pure blind rage, I grabbed my knife and swung it at the fly in mid air. I sliced the fly in half. Sliced it, in fucking half. After I did that, I immediately realized no one would ever believe me.
watching your parents grow old while you still haven't figured your life out is a heavy, silent panic. the pressure of their timeline colliding with yours is exhausting.
but remember: your presence matters more to them than your status. you aren't falling behind; you’re just human.
A man begged me to come visit him, I paid for my own plane ticket (because he kept coming up with excuses), stayed in a hotel the first night because I needed somewhere to go until he got off work, which was a Thursday. I’ve been at his house since Friday .. we’ve gone out once .. am I tripping because this just seems very low effort…??
