Powerful roundtable with faith leaders in Louisville today.
Local churches understand something Washington forgot: solving homelessness means tending to people’s physical, mental, and spiritual needs — not just providing them a bed for the night.
Always great catching up with the great entrepreneurs who’ve been with me on the long journey of building Papa John’s.
Patrick Gaunce once operated 40 stores. (When they pushed me out of the company, he sold his stores—smart guy!) His father, Wayne Gaunce, was one of my mentors, served on our board, and was inducted into the Papa John’s Hall of Fame as Franchisee #11 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Patrick’s son, Preston, is also interested in the restaurant business.
Jim Fry has been one of my dearest friends since we were five years old and has owned two Papa John’s stores in Oregon for years. A fun full-circle moment – his mom was my Cub Scout leader when we were kids.
Times like these remind me that family, friends, heritage, and doing business with people who share your values and principles are what matter most.
The University of Louisville has always meant a lot to me. I’m encouraged by this moment and look forward to once again supporting the University’s mission and creating meaningful opportunities for Card Nation. https://t.co/oF3abImmB9
My heart is with everyone affected by the tragic crash and fire in Louisville tonight. Praying for the victims, their families, and the first responders on the scene. 🙏🏼
On the 24th anniversary of 9/11, we honor the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the resilience of the American spirit.
America will never forget.
Always great catching up with some of the incredible franchisees who helped build Papa John’s into what it is today. 🍕
Their dedication, drive, and focus on quality have always been the foundation of what made us great. 💪🏼

Always great to see my friend and mentor @RealBenCarson in the HUD Building. He has taught me how to be a leader for the Department and our country.
I look forward to picking up where Dr. Carson left off – serving America’s forgotten men and women and reinvigorating our great American cities.
