At its core, interoperability is when banks, mobile money operators, and SACCOs can “talk” to each other, so money moves seamlessly across networks.

For the moto rider in Nyabugogo, it means he can finally get paid instantly by any customer, no matter which wallet or bank they use. For the mama in Kimironko market, it means she doesn’t need to juggle multiple phones and SIM cards just to serve her customers, and for the SACCO member in the village, it means school fees from a relative in Kigali arrive directly, without stress about which provider they’re on and without the hassle of walking long distances to withdraw funds.

This is more than convenience!
It’s about freedom, access, and opportunity.
