It's a paperwork problem, so it can be solved.
One operator now recertifies 3,000+ residents this way:
> AI reads and matches every document
> a person sends every letter
> anything it can't place goes to a person, never guessed
Every year, every nursing home resident on Medicaid has to prove they still qualify. Miss one document or one deadline, and their coverage can be interrupted.
When renewals restarted after COVID, nearly 7 in 10 people who lost Medicaid lost it over paperwork, not eligibility.
Why it matters: Medicaid is the main payer for about 6 in 10 nursing home residents.
A missed document isn't a small error. It can interrupt the coverage that pays for a resident's care.

Reading a document is solved. Understanding one isn't.
I wrote down what that gap means for lenders and insurers in 2026, and why regulators have started asking the second question.

That gap, between what a document says and what your business should do about it, is where Docsumo works.
Document AI that ends in a decision.

A model can tell you an invoice says $7,402.40.
Understanding it means knowing it matches the PO, the vendor is verified, it's within policy, it's not a duplicate, and where it gets coded.
We shipped a new homepage without migrating our website.
https://t.co/4ChMOByY8v has 700+ pages on Webflow. Replatforming all of it to redesign one page would take months and risk our SEO.
Here's what we did instead ↓
The build: we wrote a detailed brief (audience, every line of copy, design tokens, a claims ledger, a definition of done) and handed it to an AI coding agent.
13 commits over two days.
The brief was the product. The code was the easy part.
#001 - AI Agents for Document Workflows
Today brings me joy. We just released Workflows on @docsumoai
Why its important - Humans learn from experience what to do in certain situations. For AI agents, they need to be able to build Workflows themselves and then tweak them based on experience.
What can the machine do what humans do so far:
✦ Read natural language & convert it to flow chart
✦ Edit settings & customize each block of that flow
✦ Write python code to merge, validate & analyze data
✦ Flag things for human review when things fail
In 1 year from now, you would be emailing, uploading pics of docs & getting human like responses back without knowing whether it was a human or a machine that read what you forwarded - that is the vision of Document AI Agents.
