Everything has got worse since then in London. It was the absolute heyday.
Want to get into a pub? No bookings, no £20 a ticket, you just have to be there before it’s full.
Pint? £6 or £7 depending on if you want something craft.
Before lockdown.
Before huge inflation.
@utdarmy82@itscarrick86 And not direct either. Every flight to Prague, Vienna and Zagreb would have been full of United fans on their way to the final.
@Hayles_101 No it’s not. Milan losing it to Liverpool being 3-0 up and Liverpool keeper five yards off his line for each penalty is a much worse way to lose than tonight.
@StokeyyG2 None of them have watched a game all season before tonight. They’ll be back in the pubs for the World Cup in a couple of weeks and then on hiatus until the Euros in 28.
This, this and more of this.
If I ever own a pub you’re only getting in for big games if I see you every week. Otherwise I will take your booking and then leave you outside on the day.
“Why argue with an Arsenal fan when you can just wait?” We waited. We won. We are champions of England - and we are just one game away from being crowned champions of Europe. Read my piece on what Arsenal means to me here: https://t.co/J6cg388mRH
One of the best UCL finals of all time, to be honest.
Maybe not the free flowing football of PSG-Bayern, but
from minute 1 to 120, it never felt it was a 1 sided contest.
With the exception of maybe Liverpool-Madrid in 2022, most of the past UCL finals have felt incredibly one sided.
