FY26 has been a landmark year for electronics manufacturing in #TamilNadu !

✅ ~US$20 Billion in electronics exports
✅ 41% of India’s electronics exports
✅ 36% YoY growth
✅ Nearly 4x growth in just three years (from ~US$5 Billion)

We continue to be India’s No.1 electronics exporter🔥

Kanchipuram district alone accounts for nearly US$16.8 billion in electronics exports but more importantly we have sown the seeds for distributed electronics sector growth to other parts of TN too♥️

Tamil Nadu also recorded the highest export growth among all major exporting states in FY26, at a staggering 13.7% in spite of the “tariff wars”.

Our responsible and well thought out interventions have ensured that even with heavy global headwinds TN has topped India, winning over MH & GJ on YoY growth ! This is the direct outcome of constant engagement with Industry, lobbying with the union and refraining from politicising industrial growth ! #CMMKStalin also ensured industry knew that they can rely on his govt to ensure intervention comes whenever needed and at good pace.

Such interventions and reassurances have today ensured growth even in the most testing of times with global headwinds. One must also understand that TN unlike the other big states in India is the most exposed to exports to the US ! We have maintained this growth during tensions in INDIA-US trade despite being the most dependent on the US ! Am especially happy to see the garments sector holding fort despite the troubles they faced due to tariffs and Bangladeshi exports. Congratulations to the Tiruppur Export Association and its members.

As far as the electronics sector is concerned the DMK Govt took all necessary steps to ensure Tamil Nadu’s sectoral supremacy keeps growing by leaps and bounds. I hope and pray we continue to sustain this pace and am sure TN will leap beyond the 30B mark this year if the momentum is maintained. With more tweaks I don’t see why we should not cross the 50B mark by 2028/29, especially with several of the MoUs signed in 2024 and 2025 coming into commercial production in FY27 and FY28♥️

Behind these numbers are the deeply thought out deliberate policy interventions and relentless pace of execution during Honourable former Chief Minister Thiru @mkstalin’s Government, which delivered:

• India’s first dedicated Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme
• Tamil Nadu’s Semiconductor & Advanced Electronics Policy 2024
• Aggressive investor outreach across the world
• Faster approvals and world-class industrial infrastructure

அச்சம்பவம் நடந்த 24 மணிநேரத்திற்குள்ளாக கள ஆய்வினை செய்ததில் நாங்கள் கண்டறிந்த உண்மைகளை முன்வைத்தோம். அன்று காலை 8 மணி முதலாக காத்திருந்த மக்களுக்கான குடிநீர் உட்பட எவ்வித அடிப்படை வசதிகளும் தவெக பொறுப்பாளர்களால் செய்துதரப்படவில்லை என்பதை அன்றே ஊடகச் சந்திப்பில் வெளிப்படுத்தினோம். சம்பவ இடத்தில் கொட்டிக்கிடந்த செறுப்புகளுக்கு மத்தியில் தண்ணீர் பாட்டில்கள் எவற்றையும் போதுமானதாக காண முடியவில்லை என்பதைச் சொன்னோம். இந்த வசதிகளை செய்து கொடுத்திருந்தால் பல இழப்புகளை தடுத்திருக்க இயலும். இதுபோல பல தவறுகள் நடந்திருந்ததை அங்கிருந்த மக்கள் வாயிலாக அறிந்ததை பதிவு செய்துள்ளோம்.

மேலதிக விசாரணைகள் நடந்தால் பல விவரங்களை அனைவரும் அறிய இயலும். இந்த சம்பவம் குறித்து அன்றய ஆட்சியாளர்களான திமுக மீது குற்றம் சாட்டுவது முறையல்ல. அப்படியான குற்றச்சாட்டை வைப்பதெனில் உரிய விளக்கங்கள், ஆதாரங்களோடு வைப்பதுதான் ஆட்சியிலிருக்கும் தவெக கட்சிக்கு அழகாகும். அவ்வாறான முழுமையான விசாரணை நடத்தி நாங்கள் அறியாத தகவல்களை ஒருவேளை தவெக அரசு அறிந்திருந்தால் வெளிப்படுத்துங்கள். மாண்புமிகு அமைச்சரின் மேலோட்டமான குற்றச்சாட்டு ஏற்புடையதாக அமையாது.

माननीय न्यायालय एवं लोकसभा अध्यक्ष तत्काल संज्ञान लें।

A friend recently forwarded me a WhatsApp message explaining how to access government services through the 'Namma Arasu' WhatsApp chatbot, asking, "Wasn't this launched during your tenure?"

I must admit, it was immensely satisfying.

When I launched Namma Arasu on 8 January 2026 at #UmagineTN2026, it was one among several digital governance initiatives undertaken by the DMK Government, under the leadership of Hon'ble Thiru @mkstalin, to make government services simpler, more accessible and truly citizen-centric. As Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services, I was pleased to launch this platform as another step towards bringing government services directly to people's fingertips.

In its first phase, Namma Arasu brought together 51 essential government services from 16 departments, enabling citizens to access certificates, make utility payments, avail local body services and use a range of other public services through a simple WhatsApp conversation. The platform was designed to expand progressively, with additional departments and services being added over time.

It is gratifying to see the platform continue to reach people through everyday conversations and word of mouth. Governments and office bearers may change, but the true success of a public initiative lies in its continued relevance and usefulness to the citizens it was created to serve.

That, to me, is the most meaningful measure of impact.

Tamil Nadu govt has reportedly allocated ₹755.83 crore to give a 1-gram gold ring to every newborn in government hospitals.

A gold ring for every newborn.

This is not welfare. This is taxpayer-funded election jewellery.

Hospitals need doctors, nurses, ICU beds, medicines, neonatal care, ambulances and clean wards not gold-ring politics.

When public health needs investment, wasting hundreds of crores on symbolic freebies is daylight robbery of taxpayers’ hard-earned money.

APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) எனும் பெயரில் 'ஒரே தேசம் ஒற்றை மாணவர் அடையாளம்' எனும் பெயரில் ஒன்றிய பாஜக அரசு ஒன்றிய அரசு கல்வி நிலையங்களில் கொண்டு வந்துள்ள திட்டத்தின் பகுதியாக 'தவெக அரசு' இந்த திட்டத்தை நடைமுறைப்படுத்த முனைகிறதா?

மாணவனின் தகவல்களையெல்லாம் ஒருமுகப்படுத்தும்தகவல்-திரட்டல் எதற்காக திரட்டப்படுகிறது எனும் கேள்வி பாஜகவை நோக்கி எழும்பியது. இதேவழிமுறையை தவெக அரசு சாதி விவரங்களை இணைத்து மேற்கொள்கிறது.

இதனால் நடைபெறும் சாதிய வன்முறைகளுக்கு முதலமைச்சர் விஜய் பொறுப்பெடுப்பாரா? பாஜகவின் திட்டங்களுக்கு நிகரான திட்டங்களாக இவற்றை பார்க்கலாமா?

வீட்டிலிருந்து அருகாமை பள்ளி எனும் வகையில் கல்விக்கட்டமைபப்பை வைத்திருக்கும் தமிழ்நாட்டில் எதற்காக இந்த தகவல் அட்டை வழங்கப்படுகிறது என அமைச்சர் விளக்குவாரா?

இத்திட்டத்தின் உடனடி தேவை, இதனால் விளையும் பயன்பாடுகளைக் குறித்து விளக்கமளிக்காமல் அமைச்சர் கடந்து செல்கிறார். சாதியச் சமூகத்தைப் படைக்கவா சாதிச்சான்றிதழ்கள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன? ஒரு சாதிச்சான்றிதழ் மாணவனுக்கு எதற்காக அன்றாட கல்வி கற்றலுக்குத் தேவைப்படுகிறது?

இதுகுறித்த விளக்கத்தை அளிக்காமல் தவிர்த்து, இத்திட்டத்தைநடைமுறைப்படுத்துவார்களெனில் மே17 இயக்கத்தின்
வன்மையான கண்டனங்கள்.
