A Note on the Two Images
I am sharing these two images side by side for a simple reason: the first presents a number of Qur’ānic verses alongside interpretations that distort or misrepresent their actual meanings, while the second provides the correct context and meaning of those verses.
A Qur’ānic reference alone does not validate the statement attached to it. Some of the quotations in the first image are not translations of the cited verses at all; they are interpretations imposed upon them, and in some cases they significantly alter what the Qur’ān actually says.
The second image therefore serves as a corrective: go back to the Arabic text, examine the context, and distinguish what the Qur’ān actually says from what someone claims it says.
This is not an attempt to conceal difficult verses or avoid legitimate questions about Qur’ānic teachings. Rather, it is a call for accuracy, intellectual honesty and contextual reading.
If we are going to discuss the Qur’ān, let us quote the Qur’ān, not someone’s polemical interpretation of it.
Muslims, please share this far and wide, save it as well because the attacks are not going to stop. More importantly, understand it and defend your faith with knowledge.
May Allah unite us all in Jannah. Āmīn.
