This is the first of our pre season friendlies and it’s against our landlords, Cray Wanderers FC. Well established at Step 3, London’s oldest football club will offer a stern test and insight into the levels required at our new level.

Our hosts have made this free entry so, there’s no excuse not to come down and check out some new Leafe faces as well as, get reacquainted with some old ones!

Now the dust has settled, it’s time to give a few shout outs; First to the players, barely any preparation, barely any sleep, up at 5am after the game to, get back for work in the morning on the mainland. And yet, you still performed the way you did, you did us proud boys!

To Ennio and his coaching/management team, to lift and get the team ready the way you did, in the time you had was nothing short of incredible and against one of the best sides in the league.

To Jersey Bulls FC, unsurprisingly gracious in defeat, a classy club and fans that have always made us welcome, we look forward to facing you again, whenever and wherever that may be.

And finally, to our fans, due to time constraints (NOT Jerseys fault), we were only able to take an elite “Strike Team” of fans (thank you to those that could travel) to the semis. However, this Friday, the Leafe Army gets to march in full force to Thornton Heath as we take on Croydon Athletic for a place in the Isthmian Premier.

And, having secured a play off spot (after our draw on Monday against Croydon Athletic), we now face League leaders Three Bridges FC at Church Road this Saturday. They go in search of 3 points to win the title and we go in search of 3 points to try to improve our play off position thus, gaining home advantage for (hopefully) both legs.

Three Bridges are formidable opposition, having sat at the top of the league for most of the season, they’ve been scoring for fun and have one of the best defensive records too.

A huge game for both teams with so much at stake, the leagues two top scoring teams as well as, two of the highest scoring teams in the country in Step 1-4 going head to head.

We need the Leafe Army in huge numbers for this one in what is, possibly the penultimate game of the season at Church Road. Turn up in your numbers, bring your friends, Romans and countrymen and make some noise for the boys 🗣️📣
