And in response? Full scale militarisation.. like if a leader can't even sit and discuss issues relating to most basic questions of livelihood when they are raised by people, but must resort to escalating violence.. it's actually just deeply disturbing.
I'm so exhausted by the constant militarisation against ppl in ETH & Africa every time they decide to say or do anything. even whilst knowing well the risks ppl know they must protests bc the risk of facing the state in protest is still outweighed by that of dying at the hands
of poverty and state violence. Being forced to live off of wages that are morsels in the face of a cost of living crisis whilst the state only continues to enrich itself is state violence- the only thing this movement asks is the state do its job

Full list of 78 health workers arrested by the ETH state amidst the partial strike. Important to note that there has been no response by the regime to the petition listing the demands of the movement- signed by 17,000 health workers, countrywide.
17,000 health workers have signed the statement expressing the 12 demands, these health workers represent all regions of the country. Moving to a full strike is a tectonic step forward and it's the state and state alone that is liable for the consequences of a full strike
