Asked someone from the industry whether foreign investors are still interested in allocating to India. The TLDR:

Interest has pretty much died out. India is seen as geopolitically exposed, especially to an oil shock. There are no real AI plays. Valuations are rich. And the rupee situation doesn't help.

On top of that, investors who were sitting on gains have taken money off the table and are now looking at markets like Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Europe etc instead.

He also pointed out that our LTCG/STCG structure and the increase in STT have made India less attractive compared to other markets that are seeing inflows.

If we need to attract FPIs back, and we do, fixing this feels like pretty low-hanging fruit.

@airtelindia @Airtel_Presence recharged the ₹859(84D) on 10 Mar while my existing pack was valid till 12 Mar. Airtel’s own website, a recharge done before expiry should queue and start after the current plan ends. However validity shows only till 1 June instead of 4 June.

Ordered an ice cream cheesecake on @zomato on Sep 22, canceled in 10 mins due to heavy rain & delivery time jumping from 35 to 50 mins.

Got back to orders to check refund status. Was charged ₹670 — the full order amount — as a cancellation fee.

Fee claiming that it is for partner’s efforts ? what efforts ? no delivery partner was even assigned, no food was prepared, i was charged for absolutely nothing.

Reached out expecting fairness. They refused refund, claimed I was informed (I wasn’t).

This is absurd. This is plain theft .

Now Amazon thinks I’ve received the replacement AND they’ve got the return — but I have NOTHING. No product, no refund. I’ve contacted support 2-3 times. Still no fix. This is unacceptable. Please investigate & resolve urgently. ₹679 is not a small amount.

On May 2, a delivery agent came to deliver the replacement but refused to give it since the original item (which was wrongly taken earlier) wasn’t available. Shockingly, he still marked it as “Delivered” without giving me anything!
