Shah Rukh Khan and Anubhav Sinha are visionaries and their Ra. One was way way way ahead of its time.
We are already seeing all that can happen with AI now with self training models reaching gigantic proportions and the scare around all that it can do being absolutely real.
The film may have had some issues with unwanted tangents in the second half (comedy, Karwa Chauth, etc etc) but when it comes to its thought, theme, and intent, its brilliance is unparalleled.
BRING ON RA. ONE SEQUEL

Just want to say this, @TheNameIsYash — you’ve genuinely tried something out of the box rather than taking the predictable route of making another regular, expected, formulaic follow-up to your previous commercial blockbuster.
It takes a different mindset, conviction, and most importantly, the guts to attempt something like this.
#Toxic is an unusual and commendable attempt. There are several portions that are genuinely intriguing and open to great debate, discussion, and learning.
Kudos to you for daring to experiment and step away from the conventional.
Bestest wishes, my friend. ❤️🤗

As an artist, when you play a character, you try to bring it to life from the bottom of your heart. And here, I am truly impressed by the conviction with which the struggle of a powerful man has been portrayed.
Maybe the plot and driving characters are not on the usual track on which most films travel, but that doesn’t mean the track is wrong. The effort that goes into telling a story, and the journey it takes from being a thought in the mind to becoming a film on screen, is humongous.
@TheNameIsYash sir, hats off to the way you have surrendered yourself to a character and a world that demands a larger-than-life performance. I could clearly feel that in every single scene.
It’s not easy to give the audience an experience of how guilt multiplies and increases the toxicity in life. I stand with you for attempting this daring experiment, sir.
We love you for the love you have for taking Kannada cinema to the global stage.

10 years ago, on this day in 2016, I started my first job as an engineer in a popular IT company.
My salary was: 3.50 Lakh per annum.
Last week my colleague’s sister started same job (with newer skills) in same company.
Her salary: 3.60 Lakh per annum.
Inflation laughed!🙃
That’s why they say, never panic during bad times and never become arrogant during good times. Just a few days ago, Raina was facing an FIR; today, look at him casually picking up a biscuit from the Maharashtra CM’s plate. Life can change at any moment. Never underestimate the power of time.
I genuinely don’t understand how #Toxic is pulling this off.
Hindi advance booking is insanely solid despite almost every asset being underwhelming. Bollywood stars sometimes struggle to generate these numbers even with far stronger promotional material.
Some people may not like hearing it, but this proves Yash has built genuine stardom in the North.
30 Cr+ looks like a cakewalk now. Day 2, however, will reveal the real picture.
Ee sala namde raaj guru
I have been living in Karnataka for the past 15-16 years, and I have rarely seen this kind of craze for anyone.
Not saying this bcz I am half Kannadiga, but bcz he has genuinely proven his stardom here.
The ground level hype for #Toxic is INSANE. Karnataka's biggest opening loading.
Booked tickets for FD for #TOXIC. Going into a theatre not knowing what to expect. This feeling is so good!! YASH is that superstar - so exciting and so unpredictable! He’s broken the mould. Everything about the film is looking fantastic and dynamic! My best to the whole team!!
Emraan Hashmi's career was at its peak in 2014. Every film he made was becoming a super hit.
That same year, his son Ayaan faced a life-threatening kidney condition. He said on the show it completely changed his life after that.
Over a decade later, Awarapan 2 just became his first film to cross 100 crores as the solo lead. Whatever he carried through those years, he never stopped showing up. That's the real story here.
Gen Z audience will practically watch #EmraanHashmi as a leading man for the first time ever in theatres with #Awarapan2. This is when they will know what the fuss is all about the man who practically had a parallel #Bollywood running in the first decade of the 2000s.
@emraanhashmi
Those who said #RanbirKapoor isn't fit for Shri Ram perhaps misunderstood the very essence of lord Ram.
Lord Ram was never about shouting, rage or forced mass expressions. His strength was in his calmness, grace, restraint and maryada. Ranbir gets that, and that’s exactly why he feels right. #Ramayana
If it was upto the CBFC of today, we would have never got to witness the iconic Tobey Maguire & Kirsten Dunst upside down moment!
Millenials would know!
Ramayana trailer!
Expect the world, and you shall not be disappointed! Yes it’s GRAND, it’s SPECTACULAR! And. Its heart is absolutely in the right place! Watched it twice to soak it all in. Yet wanted more. Can’t wait for Diwali !
My single point agenda in life is to make Bharat a technologically strong and self reliant nation, which I see as critical to our economic prosperity as well as our rural and civilisational revival. Our civilisation has to show the world through living example how to combine prosperity with humility and contentment, and show the sustainable path to harmonize humanity and the natural world.
Our past 1000 year history has left us deep civilisational wounds and the defeatist, colonial mindset is one of them. Being world-class in technology is the key to restoring true pride in ourselves as a nation, and building that technology with rural talent spreads the wealth across society.
We need people to do deep work in R&D. I have some skill in this area and that is the best use of my life for our nation.
I view politics as public service and as a democratic duty in which citizens must be involved but given my overriding priority in life, I cannot be and will not be in active electoral politics.
Bharat Mata ki Jai 🙏
Talked AI with youngsters from the Indian StartUp world. It was a memorable and insightful interaction, in which they shared their vision and work on how India is transforming the world of AI. It is commendable how these StartUps are working on diverse fields such as e-commerce, marketing, engineering simulations, material research, healthcare, medical research and more.

I urge all popular Indian podcasters in all languages to teach the merits/demerits of capitalism (and socialism) to our country. Capitalism has its flaws, but it’s the only proven system which can lift us out of poverty and make a nation worth reckoning.
