@CheapOair @HardeepSPuri @airindiain I just received a call from @CheapOair saying @airindiain is putting refunds on hold. This is what they come back with after telling me the refunds are in progress for 4 months. Air India needs to show better ethics & refund my money. Please look into this matter.

@CheapOair @HardeepSPuri @airindiain It will serve no purpose. They will just tell me that they cannot contact air India now. I think the issue is with @airindiain . They need to provide a means to return my money, either directly or through cheapoair. Airindia has my money, and should refund as per the above tweet

@Matthis75036098 @CheapOair @airindiain Thanks for the suggestion. I think even air India needs to show some responsibility and facilitate my refund process immediately, since they are the ones in possession of my money. Otherwise I will have to complain to the DOT as suggested.

@HardeepSPuri @CheapOair booking no. 67875304 @airindiain eticket no 0987582050441. This is clearly eligible for a refund, but I have not received it even after 2 months because cheapoair says they are unable to contact air India. In fact air India has over $1500 of mine (incl 0987448571445)

@CheapOair @airindiain I’m just bringing to light an issue that customers of cheapoair and air India might be facing. It is not clear to me why refunds are not being issued. I read a memo from air India saying that refunds will be issued for Covid & lockdown affected flights.

@CheapOair @airindiain Just spoke to Cheapoair and they’re saying that they are unable to request the airline for the refund right now because airindia is not open. I’m not sure why we need to wait for airindia to open to process my refund. Also, I need a full refund, I will not accept airline credit.

Bulk of the stranded are not benefiting from vande bharat mission. These are real people tweeting. So far only a small fraction of the stranded have managed to get tickets and air India has been benefiting from the exploitation of desperate citizens.
