you think these oafs aren’t gonna fuck up? i know there’s a lot of hay made that they’ll be smarter this go around, and sure they probably will marginally, but these are all the same self interested idiots they’ve always been. the honeymoon period will end, bad things will happen and they’ll fuck up their political project out of their own interests. things are only going to get more expensive, natural disasters will happen, life will get harder for everyone. they don’t have an answer for these things and never have. of course this moment requires more of us than just patience and i don’t have an answer for exactly how to respond to it all. the democratic party is obviously not the answer lmao. but if we’re able to connect to our communities more, identify those who need help, and just be a little more plugged in instead of isolating from another then i think an answer can be found eventually. the worst we can do is just give up to doom. no point to it.
