Following the successful launch of the Lagos State Sustainability Reporting (IFRS S1 & S2) Initiative and the capacity-building programme for Sustainability Reporting Champions across selected MDAs, we have now taken another important step forward with the Executive Sustainability Reporting Strategic Alignment Meeting.
This engagement was designed to secure executive buy-in, strengthen institutional ownership, and align leadership across government around a shared vision for sustainability reporting in Lagos State. It was a pleasure to have engaged with @DrRabiuOlowo (ES/CEO, @frcnigeria), HC @opegeorge_mepb (@LagosMepb), HC @Abi_Olusanya (@lagosagric1), SA @oae_emmanuel (Blue Economy, @TalktoLaswa), SA @iamtheLb (MEPB), SA @gboyegaakosile (Media & Publicity), Engr. Abimbola Akinajo (MD, @Lamataonline), Dr. @thetundeajayi (GM, @LasepaOfficial) alongside Senior Special Assistants, Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Parastatals, Directors and other key stakeholders present at the meeting, whose leadership will be critical to the long-term success of this initiative. Sustainable transformation is most effective when it is championed from the top, and the quality of conversations and commitment demonstrated at this meeting gives me great confidence about the road ahead.
I extend my sincere appreciation to Mr. Governor, @jidesanwoolu, and Mr. Deputy Governor, @drobafemihamzat, for their unwavering commitment to building a more accountable, resilient, inclusive, and globally competitive Lagos. I am equally grateful to the leadership of our Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and Parastatals for embracing this journey. Together, we are laying the foundation for a governance culture that not only measures progress but also strengthens transparency, accountability, and sustainable development across our State.
