apparently sending a link to yourself on whatsapp does not count as “saving it”
learnt this after ~1000 links I never went back to
so I built Pinny as a side project: one place to save anything + see what people you trust are saving
starting with founders + VCs whose internet taste I’d actually want to follow

If you can create a product that's Instagrammable and Pinterest-board-worthy, you will do numbers.
Aesthetics run the world, and nobody, or should I say no woman, buys ugly shit.
And sad floating fruit in a water bottle is ugly, so if you create one with frosted glass that diffuses whatever's inside, the fruit you put in it all looks muted and like soft blocks of colour.
This, paired with the fact it sits at the intersection of these things:
1 / Bottles have become an identity object which is something Stanley proved at scale. Hydration is now a flex and part of your personality and the bottle you carry is legible social signalling.
2 / No logo-maximalism, just subtle branding. Pinterest girls especially love white labels and Helvetica-adjacent type.
3 / There's this rise of cult brands that are extending into merch. When people already identify with a brand they'll buy objects that let them display that affiliation in non-category contexts which means The Ordinary gets new surface area for the brand in daily life and in other people's eyelines.
The recipe to cook like crazy.
