The widespread protests across Pakistan-held Kashmir have been met with police shootings, mobile and internet shutdowns, and sweeping state repression, including the arbitrary detention of protesters under anti-terror laws. Yet despite security forces reportedly killing up to 40 protesters since last week, the crisis in that heavily militarized territory has received scant attention in the Western media.
By contrast, @nytimes published 16 news reports in just one week (July 20–27) on the youth-led protests in New Delhi that forced India's education minister to resign. But on the mass protests in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, which have triggered a severe security crackdown and heavy casualties, it has published just one news report so far.
On 23 May 2026, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio landed in Kolkata before New Delhi. His first stop was the Missionaries of Charity. In diplomacy, order is a message. A thread.
Social media influencers fixated on “What’s wrong with Hindu girls?” would do well to understand this:
What is visible today is the result of two generations of careless upbringing.
Low self-esteem is a malaise among Hindus - men and women of all ages. Look at the nervous laughter, shrugging and silence in WhatsApp groups. Our boys and girls are just following what they see modelled by elders.
In girls, it is getting manifest as marrying anyone who showers attention. In boys, it manifests differently. Perhaps as risk-averseness and a flight towards safety.
In middle aged men and women, it manifests as grandiosity and rigidity, a desire to punish younger Hindus for inconsequential transgressions.
Sociologists and psychologists in Indian universities would do well to study Hindu trauma and its current-day manifestations.
Meanwhile, non-Hindus who are well funded and organised have learnt how to play Hindu trauma response and turn fissures into fault lines.
These serious and nuanced conversations are not for social media - which thrives on sensationalism, which bullies the easiest, most vulnerable target, and which attracts righteous finger-pointing, holier-than-thou posturing in a mad, unthinking rush to instant gratification for likes and views.
The only danger is that emotions whipped up by social media - if unchecked by reason - will end up influencing reality and throwing Hindu families down a rabbit hole from which we will find it difficult to get out.

Our ancestors knew, whatever you offer on this day, multiplies.
Four years ago, on Akṣaya Tritīya, Bṛhat came into being to make offerings to the civilization.
Courses. Conversations. Collaborations. Community. Craft. Stories. Journeys. Ideas.
The tithi kept its word. Bṛhat remains inexhaustible and unlimited.
And today, on the same tithi, we make the same offering again.
Of all that is still to be created, still to be uncovered, still to be given back, to a civilization that is unending.
Bṛhat | Four Years | And everything ahead.
अक्षयम्।
Woke ideology has found a larger space.
This is how the West operates, while Indians keep consuming low-quality content and ideas.
Going to movie theatres is still very popular in India because people watch films emotionally. In Telugu states, hero worship drives audiences to theatres, and that’s exactly what platforms like Netflix want to capitalize on.
Request Indian cinema producers not to allow the spread of wokeism into Indian cinema, because next Netflix will collaborate with producers and distributors; within 1–2 years, they may start dictating content as they control both theatres and OTTs.
You don’t have to be in the army to serve the country; you can protect your country’s interests through your profession too.
Hope the Indian cinema industry, especially the Telugu industry, is aware of what’s coming.
Sorry to the fans of Chiraiya, but what you have been told is a lie. To those who don’t know, at the end of this series, a statistic is flashed, which reads: ‘82% married women face sexual violence from their husbands’. This is nothing but a lie. And it has been told in a manner that if you do not dive deep, get ready to be misled.
First, where does this statistic come from? It was in the National Family Health Survey (2019–21), in which the women participants were asked whether they had ever faced sexual violence. Out of 100 women, 5.4% of them said yes. Then, on being asked who the perpetrator was, 82% of these said their husband. Hope you are able to trace the fraud now. In all, it was 82% of 5.4%, not the total number of married women. To the lovers of data, you can say it’s roughly 4% of total married women, not 82%.

Who is the cooking actually done for? Who should cook at home? Husband or the wife?
Our Rishis have given us clear answers for everything, so let us see what Dharma Shastra or our scriptures say
Shastra says that the true objective of cooking in the kitchen is NOT for YOU to eat, but for Bhagavan first!
Devata pooja is a Nityakarma or a daily duty for all Gruhasthas or married men.
The cooked food must always be offered as Neivedya to Bhagavan in your daily pooja and then must be eaten by all family members only after the Pooja is over
Shastra says that Annam or food comes on your plate through the divine forces of nature and hence it is compulsory to daily offer Neivedya to Bhagavan in return and then partake the cooked food as Swamy Prasadam
Shastra then goes on to say very strictly that if you eat food without offering it as Neivedya first, then it is equivalent to you eating your own feces
Now having understood the Shastric tattva of Annam, let us see who is prescribed to do what -
Shastra says very clearly that the Neivedya for Bhagavan must be cooked by the lady of the house. But the daily Pooja (in which Neivedya is offered) for the Bhagavan must be done by the man or her husband. Performing daily pooja is a Nityakarma or a daily duty for the husband and not the wife. It is one of the daily nityakarmanushtanas and only HE has to do Pooja. She is supposed to help/ support him by cooking the Neivedya for his pooja
The man performs pooja in the pooja room,
The woman cooks food in the kitchen. She brings the cooked food to the pooja room for Neivedya which is done by him,
When these both respective work are done in tandem, the pooja phala or merit is received by all members of the family, including their children
So if your husband forces you to cook daily, then you must ask him in return - "Are you first doing your daily duty of Pooja to Bhagavan? If yes, then I shall daily stand in the kitchen and cook Neivedya for your pooja"
What if both the husband and wife are working?
The answer is simple. Wake up early and make time for Pooja, Neivedya cooking. Where there's a will, there's a way
Everybody has well defined, clear roles in Shastra. No role is any lower or higher than the other.
Daampatya or the family or is a well-oiled engine - both husband's and wife's roles are equally crucial for the family vehicle to run and move on ..
Is #Dhurandhar the 1st movie to show India winning civilizational war in both reel & real life? 💥
It’s catharsis of a millennium. By blending historical scars with decisive wins, it feels like the pain of 1,000 years giving way to #NewIndia that has finally turned the tide. 🇮🇳
I hope those nighas crying about security being a major achievement of Modi government understand why I keep highlighting it
Safe borders are the number 1 pre requisite for businesses to invest
Why do you think billions of dollars of Western money is invested in India?
You think, Goras impressed by our civic sense or urban planning?
We provide what many countries cannot provide - security and safety and stable political climate
Music hits differently after watching movie 🥹
Not easy to make a sequel that meets audience expectations, but here both movie and the music live up, perhaps even surpass it.
#DhurandharTheRevenge music is different, mature, deep & as enjoyable as 1st

People of Bṛhat | बृहत्
A reflection by @priya_27_ on her journey as one of the founding members of Brhat and the role that bṛhat has played in shaping her work and intellectual path.
"Satya Doyle Byock in Quarter-life: The Search for Self in Early Adulthood writes about the crisis of discontent among the young. Adulthood today is defined largely by narrow capitalistic expectations of achievement and performance.
These constraints push people to live lives “incongruent with their natures or values,” deepening the crisis. She writes that there have been two types of quarter-lifers: those inclined to pursue stability first, and those inclined to pursue meaning first.
Reflecting on my twenties, I realize most of my major decisions were driven by the pursuit of meaning—despite the constraints of a middle-class upbringing that often demands stability."
🌺 To All Who Are Working for Our Civilization
At a time when our civilization is facing an existential crisis, it is important to pause and look at what is actually happening on the ground.
Instead of acknowledging that Sadhguru has brought thousands of secular people back into the fold, some are busy nitpicking over pronunciation, formats, and technicalities.
Is this truly the moment for that?
🌞 Look at the reality.
Sadhguru is openly talking about demographic changes.
He is openly speaking about cultural attacks.
He is making people who once mocked Hinduism become Shiv Bhakts.
He is making them chant verses of Adi Shankaracharya.
He is bringing GuruPuja in Samskrit into their lives.
He is making them learn Bharatanatyam and Kalaripayattu.
He is reviving Indic ways of farming through Isha Outreach programs.
He is uniting people across caste divides by bringing them together in festivals like Gramotsavam.
All this is happening.
All this is strengthening the civilization.
All this is making a real difference.
And yet, some are dismissing the entire movement because they do not like how he says Aum, or because something is not found in the exact book they approve of.
Is this the standard now?
Are you claiming that every single Shastra is completely available and perfectly understood by you?
You know Even those that are lost?
You know Even those whose practices have disappeared?
Ask yourself:
Does truth come from authority?
Or does authority come from truth?
If someone wishes to follow another Guru, they are absolutely free to.
But why alienate those who have benefited from Sadhguru’s tools?
Why declare that they are outside the Dharmic fold?
Why label it as another religion?
This is the same mindset used by the very forces you claim to fight.
If you do not agree with us, we will not accept you.
If you are not in our format, you are wrong.
If you do not match our book, you are out.
Is this not the same rigidity that the Left uses?
Is this not the same exclusion that the Abrahamic world has practiced for centuries?
Violence begins with speech.
When you insult, mock, and abuse, you are only taking one step before the forces you say you oppose.
Why repeat the same patterns?
If you do not agree with Sadhguru, that is perfectly fine.
But let those who are benefiting from the tools continue their growth.
Why hurt them?
Why mock them?
Why push them away?
Most of them were deeply secular.
Most of them had no connection to their roots.
And through Sadhguru’s contemporary language and clarity, they are meditating, chanting, reconnecting, and becoming aware of the civilizational dangers we are facing.
This should be celebrated, not attacked.
In a time of crisis, unity is strength.
Maturity is strength.
Allowing different paths within Dharma is strength.
Let us not weaken our own civilization from within.
Let those who are returning home, return with dignity.
Let those who are walking the path, walk with confidence.
And let us stand together for Bharat, not against each other.
When we step into someone’s home, the warmth we feel does not come from the walls or the roof, it comes from their hospitality, their affection, the gentle freedom they grant us. That is what makes us feel at home, and it deepens with the closeness of our bond with them.
In the same way, when we walk into a kshetra, especially during sacred occasions, it is the Devata Herself and the Kshetrapalakas who decide whether we feel that embrace of homecoming in their presence.
Even though I have visited Kamakhya only a few times, every time it has been during unexpected Navaratris. There is a mysterious pull, something unspoken, that binds my heart to this place. I cannot explain it, but it is as if the Mother calls me without words.
This time, I carried hesitation within me, uncertain about my stay, my schedule, and how I would be received. Yet the moment I stepped into Kamakhya, everything dissolved. The hills, the air, the very silence of the temple welcomed me like a child returning to her Mother. Nothing seemed different, except that I was 2750 kilometers away from my own home.
There was no nervousness, no fear, no restless excitement. Only a deep calmness, like resting in the womb of the Divine Mother - Her power, Her stillness, Her unshakable presence surrounding me.
And that is what Maa Kamakhya truly is to me.
