Citizens advocating for the well-being of the Wachusett Regional School District (WRSD) and it's 5 member towns.....and all other MA RSDs while we're at it.
Hey Wachusett - it's been a while, but lots going on these days!
Budget season is about to start with the Budget Roundtable on 12/9/21 at the Holden Senior Center.
Also, the SC voted last night to hire NESDEC as the firm to coordinate the superintendent search.
At last night's SC meeting, our student reps introduced students from the middle school student councils. The students introduced eachother & gave updates on the clubs in their schools.
We were forced to unpublish our page on that other social media platform for a while due to some comments on our posts after the WRSD's decision to delay hybrid until January. We're glad to be back now....with a few rules in place.

After a meeting with town public health officials, the district doctor, and a motion by the Facilities & Security Subcommittee, the hybrid model has been delayed until atleast 1/19/21 for the WRSD. Students currently in school will remain.

As parents of Wachusett students, we personally will HOLD OFF on filling out the form until we get some answers to the many questions that the email and attached document raised. A special school committee meeting has been called for Wednesday, 9/23.
Post about the email that was sent Friday at 3pm asking parents to make a decision about the remainder of the school year. This email caused a difficult weekend for many in the district. We understand and we are here to get as many answers as we can. https://t.co/NyHhwHmxss
NEW: The MA Dept. of Ed confirms it has extended the deadline for school districts to file final reopening plans with the state from Aug. 10th to Aug. 14th. Not much extra time, but enough to fit in more school committee meetings before then. @NBC10Boston@NECN
