Yup. But if he had gotten elder down all my units were screwed anyway. So had to go for the winning play in spite of potential punch first. Also I was assuming he didn’t have aurora the turn before or he would’ve dropped that instead of baron raw. If he didn’t top deck stacked deck into aurora on his last turn then I just win anyway but the top deck made it close.
Small field today at @hobbygamemol for Riftbound night but it’s my first time winning in a few months so super happy 😊😊 Same Kaisa list from last tournament.
R1: Rek’sai 🟢🟢

@TheAverageRj1@hobbygamemol So to answer your question, play fast, look for timewarp (even 2x timewarp plays), side in gear kills and unchecked powers.
Pray that he doesn’t hit it. Game 3 he had to Baron raw from hand. Ending was kind of nuts. I’m on 4 points with 2x Noxus, Kaisa, and poro in base. I play watcher accelerated. He has 1 rune up and I heard during previous match he used punch first but I had to risk it cause he probably will play Aurora in the next turn, so I send watcher+hopeful into Baron, it works and I go to 5. I put poro and kaisa on a bf each, and then stack noxus on a bf with kaisa. He does actually draw the aurora off a stacked deck but no more runes he plays Elder and kills all but one on the double stacked bf and I hold to 8.
Riftbound has hit Korea! Proving Grounds boxes are now for sale at the The Hyundai Pangyo for 48,000 KRW (~$35USD). Played a few rounds with the gf and she’s loving it. Origins next month!! #riftbound
Congrats to everyone who was able to get one! I would’ve loved an English version but the blessing of getting a Korean copy already is not lost on me. Happy unboxing!

No need to be so inflammatory was just asking a question lol. Yesterday played vs someone who messed up their sequence with purple Kayn and didn’t get the effect when they attacked. Would you let them take that back in high OPL cases to redo their sequence and get the effect or is knowing sequencing part of being the better player? I’m not gonna tell people “you forgot your point so you don’t get it” that’s lame I agree. Just trying to get an idea of where people draw their line in high OPL.
@Blaqneon How did the 2x Retreat feel into orange decks? I tried 2x in one setup and never found it to be super useful as I was only really contesting battlefields when there wasn't a threat of ambush. Could see running two as a way to play a bit more aggresive though.
Everyone has a different way of learning. In League, I was struggling getting out of Emerald and did a few coaching sessions with proven coaches. In a few months I was playing in Masters lobbies. The insight I gained from having someone better than me dissect and explain concepts to me that I either wasn't aware of or had an incorrect opinion on was instrumental.
At the same time, a friend of mine who was at a similar rank also climbed super fast to the same level and without coaching. He just played the game more and more and was able to naturally learn from his own play.
