I’ve been working as a concept artist on Project Rustbound for the past 2 months! Plz go wishlist the project to show support, we’re cooking up something very special!
Remember when BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES injected a little AKIRA DNA into Clayface’s transformation and made it gloriously disturbing? Ron Perlman’s voice work made the whole thing even better, giving the shape-shifting horror a genuinely tragic edge.
@Lucaswoodland@echo_sonata But if you were asking about the Batfamily in general, I’m rereading Tim Drake’s Red Robin run currently because the compendium came out and it’s fantastic. Some great Batfamily stuff in there too. Cassandra Cain’s 2000s Batgirl run is also great. Highly recommend
@Lucaswoodland@echo_sonata If you’re asking Jason specifically, that’s a hard question because there are realistically 0 good Jason Todd, centric stories outside of Under The Red Hood. It’s really unfortunate - (1/2)
Robert Pattinson says he took inspiration from ‘Batman: Shaman’ comic for his take on Batman in ‘THE BATMAN’
“There’d been amazing interpretations of the character and I was just trying to find out what is the thing that hasn’t really been found. I read so many of the graphic novels and found this one called ‘Shaman’ and that was all about the kind of metaphysical aspects of what the symbolism of the specific bat means and just trying to abstract the idea rather than saying, ‘Yeah, it’s taking away the logic of becoming Batman and saying, no, I’m becoming this other thing.’
It’s not just to scare the criminal it’s for yourself and it’s because you feel a profound connection with this creature that you’ve created, which you then think you’re becoming or that it truly is you, even though you’ve constructed it yourself. I’m doing so many conversations and things in this outfit and I’m like, you have to believe that it’s not an outfit and it’s just your skin. I was trying to draw a lot from that one comic. I thought it was very helpful.”

I’m loving this Ed Sheeran downfall lol.
It’s my belief that, intrinsically, Art is for the woke and Music is for the compassionate.
I feel like we’ve forgotten that recently, so this is a welcomed reminder… And we’re taking out an absolute whale while we’re at it lmaooo 🎣

What's funny about that panel (From Green Lantern #76 [1960] btw) is that the very next page is him realizing he could do more to help.
This is less of Hal being actively racist and more of Hal just not understanding his privilege
DUDE IM GONNA GET SO EMOTIONAL AT WORK RN WTF!!!
I had such a major panic that week before Quakecon, I pulled an all nighter finishing both pieces cause I fucked my time up so badly. Ive gotten so much praise but the regret over my time mismanagement has still been weighing over me almost a month later. I can’t tell you all how much this and all the other kind words means to me truly, I’m so glad I picked up art again 2 years ago, and I can’t wait to show you all the projects I’m working on when the time comes.
Raimi MJ was kinda always doomed to get hated on because she is maybe the only love interest in comic book movie history whose love is treated with the depth of you'd expect from a real person instead of a prize to be won by the protagonist as a reward for his character arc.
