When I was in my early 20’s, I walked into a bar one night with 3 of my wrestler buddies. As soon as we walked in, a frantic woman ran towards us, begging for help. She pointed at a woman across the bar, clearly out on her feet, surrounded by 6 men. She said that was her friend & she had been slipped something. She was terrified for her friend.

My friends & I didn’t say a word. We marched straight over there, got in between the drugged woman and the men and walked her out of the bar - all while letting the men know it would be a mistake to try us. The frantic woman came with us. We took them back to my apartment & watched over her friend for the next 9 hours, until she woke up. When we explained to her where she was & what had happened the night before & her friend confirmed the story, I had never seen fear like that before. The woman knew how close she was to something really bad happening to her. Both women thanked us & we never saw them again.

That’s how you’re supposed to react when you see a woman has been drugged. You don’t hop in a group chat, you don’t ignore her situation & you certainly don’t violate her. It’s not hard. It’s actually really easy to not be a shitty person.

- reoffended whilst on bail
- no fixed abode so deemed flight risk

My dog walker was charging me for 30-minute walks that lasted 11 minutes.

I didn't notice.

My dog's GPS collar did.

The app showed the same route every day.

Out the door.

Around the corner.

Stand in one spot for 7 minutes.

Home.

I downloaded 2 months of location data and made a heat map.

There was a bright red circle outside a coffee shop.

I sent it to the dog-walking company.

They said GPS data could be inaccurate.

So I checked the doorbell camera.

The walker left at 12:14.

Returned at 12:26.

They apologized and gave me 10 free walks.

The walker got reassigned.

My dog was devastated.

Apparently the coffee shop gave him bacon.

The new walker actually walks 30 minutes.

My dog has filed several complaints.

I understand his position.
