@Broonjunior @EasyPeasy_3 because it will be used as a thin edge of wedge , pay if you want will be stage 1 , then means test stage 2 and that “means “ will go down all the time ….higher rate taxpayers will be the target ..which is forecast to be. about 60% of the working population…

@Broonjunior @EasyPeasy_3 i agree with you and James re the political crowing nonsense…but it is free , that’s the point , all Scottish kids can get a degree free , regardless of their background or parents wealth and leave Uni debt free (appreciate they have to live !!!) that alone is worth it

@Broonjunior @EasyPeasy_3 and he always has to pay for it , no free “opportunity “ for him …most in Scotland get what they want or close, the price of free education is some don’t , as unfair as that may be to those that don’t , is it not a price worth paying for a free education system?

way too low but that’s what happens when they are underfunded and need the cash …it’s tough , i want free education for those that cant afford it …do we means test it for Scot’s ??

@EasyPeasy_3 i know it is and my son wasn’t told don’t even bother applying to Edinburgh …which seem stupid but that’s the price of free education, we can’t have it all , personally i would
prefer some kids not getting exactly what they want than kids not affording to go at all
