Rutuja was preparing for Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) Drug Inspector exam. Believing she couldn't pass on her own, her father bribed MPSC officials to leak the paper.
Two days before the exam, Rutuja shared the paper with her boyfriend, Gaurav, whose brother was also preparing for the same exam. Gaurav passed the paper on to his brother.
After the exam was conducted, but before the results were declared, Rutuja and Gaurav broke up. Gaurav believed she abandoned him because she was on the verge of becoming a govt officer. When the results were finally announced, Rutuja secured State Rank 7. She was featured in local media as a high achiever, and her coaching institute proudly shared her interviews (now deleted) across social media.
Driven by jealousy, Gaurav reported the paper leak to the MPSC, exposing the entire scandal. The police subsequently arrested an MPSC Undersecretary and two Assistant Section Officers involved in the leak. Gaurav was also arrested for accepting and forwarding the paper to his brother (who ended up failing anyway), making him a co-conspirator. Rutuja has since been served a notice.
The exam, which happened in March this year, now stands cancelled.

South exhibitors need to wake up to #HanumanAnsh.
This is not a normal โsmall Hindi filmโ story anymore. This is one of the rare audience-led box office turnarounds we have seen in recent times.
The film opened quietly, almost disappeared in Week 2, and then came back purely on WOM, faith audience, family viewing and ground-level theatre connect. Sacnilk has reported โน4.67 cr India NBOC on Day 19 alone, taking the film past โน10.60 cr India net. Trend also shows a massive Week 3 weekend jump, which clearly tells us one thing: audiences have discovered the film late, but they are now backing it strongly.
My only question to South India exhibitors is simple: why is #HanumanAnsh still not getting proper showcasing in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala?
This is a film rooted in Lord Hanuman bhakti, Sant Parampara and the spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba. The South has one of the deepest Hanuman devotee bases in the country, from Karnataka and Andhra/Telangana to Tamil Nadu and Kerala and major cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Vijayawada, Vizag, Kochi and Trivandrum have strong spiritual, family and seeker audiences.
If a film can grow like this with limited showcasing, imagine what happens when South markets open properly.
My honest trade reading: with strong showcasing in South India, #HanumanAnsh can start delivering serious daily numbers. If the current WOM continues and exhibitors support it with enough shows, this has a real shot at a โน50 cr journey โ and in the best-case scenario, even โน100 cr cannot be ruled out.
Faith-led cinema has surprised us before with #Karthikeya2, #HanuMan, #Kantara and #MahavatarNarsimha. #HanumanAnsh has now joined that conversation.
Request to exhibitors and cinemas across South India: give this film the shows it deserves. The audience is already speaking. Now the showcasing needs to respond.
