Apparently Republics are holding a two day convention today and tomorrow with Trump/Vance which is getting zero buzz because nobody does these for mid-terms. Oh yeah they decided to go head-to-head with the first two games of the NFL season as well! Ha

@JacobShap I just think he spent all this money to buy the team and he was planning on spending more on the arena. An extra $7 mil means nothing to him and he would cheat to try and get a winning team. Now it blew up in his face and the Clips are basically a G league team the next 10 years.

I have no faith anymore that US trade negotiators will come to their senses and try to salvage this sadly. So so many people I know just refuse to even visit the US anymore.

@BillSimmons My guess is Aston Villa but hoping for Nottingham Forest. I follow Arsenal but just know most sports fans won’t follow a team right after winning a championship so they are probably off the table.

@Geo_papic Instead of expanding the tournament, I was thinking we make the qualifications a bigger event. Have one two week period in August for round one of qualifications and then another in March. But personally i miss the groups of death like Spain, Dutch & Chile in ‘14.

@Geo_papic Couple of things about the expansion idea
1-it wouldn’t be one 64 team tournament, it would really be 8, 8 team tournaments.
2-having the WC at 88 teams, along with 8, 8 man tournaments..that’s a lot of 88. A # that has some historically dubious references attached to it lol.
