It’s 36 years to the day since the release of one of the all-time great football anthems:
“You’ve got to hold and give,
But do it at the right time,
You can be slow or fast,
But you must get to the line...”
Incredible.

Here are just 5 things that happened in the UK this week:
-we discovered police in our second city, Birmingham, are doing the bidding of Islamist extremists while scapegoating Jews who were targeted for Muslim violence
-we learn child rapists & criminals have been allowed to become police officers partly because of woke DEI “diversity” recruitment drives
-the United Arab Emirates is so concerned about the risk of Islamist radicalisation in the UK they have just restricted support for UAE students to study at UK universities
-supposedly neutral civil servants told journalists they will either quit their job or work to block policies if the British people dare to elect a Reform government that actually wants to tackle much of this by slashing immigration, ending DEI & banning Muslim Brotherhood
-and the Labour government is so scared of the British people and open debate it is moving to both postpone local elections in areas where Reform is forecast to surge and ban Elon Musk’s X platform
All these things happened. In just a few days. We are quite obviously destroying our country.

When people claim that our country isn’t sliding into a Stasi state, ask yourself this:
For over 800 years (ever since Henry II replaced trial by ordeal with jury trial in 1166, and Magna Carta in 1215 nailed it down as the “lawful judgement of your peers”), the right to be judged by twelve ordinary citizens has been the single greatest protection against an over-mighty state. Eight centuries. Longer than Parliament itself has existed. Longer than the English language as we speak it!
And now they want to rip it away.
Why are they rushing through a compulsory digital ID system?
Why are they quietly removing the right to jury trials for almost all serious offences — keeping them only for murder, manslaughter and rape?
This is happening straight after the post-riot crackdown, where people were sent to prison for years for “hurty” words on social media sentences longer than many actual rapists received. Those sentences were handed down by the same politicised, woke judges who will now decide guilt or innocence alone, without a jury of ordinary citizens to keep them in check.
Eight hundred years of hard-won protection, ended with a shrug and the excuse “it’ll save money.”
No more impartial jury of your peers just a single judge, often the very same ones who’ve already shown where their sympathies lie.
Budget cuts apparently trump eight centuries of liberty, and almost nobody in the media or Parliament is kicking up a serious fight.
Where is the opposition? Where is the mass outrage?
This isn’t some minor procedural tweak it’s the deliberate dismantling of the oldest and most effective safeguard ordinary people have ever had against state tyranny!
If this goes through unchallenged, the country I grew up in is finished. Many of us who simply speak our minds online will end up as political prisoners, convicted in secret trials with no realistic way to appeal or defend ourselves.
Here’s a list of world leaders (Lenin, Mussolini, Hitler, Franco, Mao, Castro, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, Khomeini, Maduro, Assad etc) who abolished jury trials and the dates they. It now includes British Labour Prime Minister Keir Starmer in 2025.

Back in 1979, I believe Brian Clough gave his best interview with John Motson asking the questions. Cloughie was in great form.
They should show this interview to the likes of Sky, TNT, Match Of The Day, etc., because their presenters and so-called pundits would probably learn a thing or two from the great man.
Because let’s face it…he was right!
