Tesla has a first to market advantage for customer owned cars, they should drive adoption up before others even enter the market. Current take rate shows priced over what most are willing to pay. If they get 10 million subscribers at $100 a month, it would be better than 1 million at $300 for profit and safety. Let’s not forget they want the data as well.

Check your dm, sent you post of Elon saying today supervised will increase. I own Tesla stock, don’t plan on selling my tesla. So your argument is that someone can turn off at own will, but get offended if we don’t see value of not getting to unsupervised at same price and will cancel? People have been waiting for self driving since announced in 2016 never said subscribed for 10 years. You have a different opinion that’s okay, but getting emotional and not listening to others does not do you any favors.

@NairesTesla @SawyerMerritt @Tesla If Tesla tells people they will have to pay more for their cars to drive unsupervised after over 10 years of promising their cars could, there will be people who unsubscribe whether you like/agree with it or not.

@NicklasNilsso14 @SawyerMerritt @Tesla I think most people would be fine with Tesla just taking a cut of the revenue from robotaxi rather than paying upfront. Elon pay package includes subscriptions he is not hitting that at $300.

If you plan on using your car for a robotaxi, you would probably fully depreciate it before the 7 years it would break even over the subscription. If you plan to not use it, would you honestly keep it longer than that when we know they are going to be coming out with new 3+ new fsd hardware by then.
