Thankfully 5 year back order on new utility scale gas turbine generators. This is the only power available. It cost 3 times as much to develop solar in the US compared to Australia, and an order of magnitude more than china which is where all the new capacity is coming from.

Solar met 75% of global electricity demand growth in 2025. Clean power covered all new demand, so fossil generation didn’t rise for the first time since 2020.

Solar electricity is on track to become by far the biggest source of power.
