Esta es la historia de cómo el formato físico salvó mi cuenta de Steam y cómo gracias a VALVe todavía conozco al hacker Israelí que me hackeó:

Hace muchos años, unos 15 aproximadamente, hackearon mi cuenta de Steam y cambiaron toda la info, lo mismo que al tipo ese, para que no pudiera recuperarla. Eran otros tiempos donde no existía la misma seguridad que hay hoy. Llegué a pensar que había perdido toda mi librería, amigos, logros…

Entonces recordé que tenía varios juegos de VALVe en formato físico vinculados a la cuenta y decidí intentarlo a la desesperada.

Fue gracias al Counter-Strike Condition Zero con su vieja key pegada dentro de la caja, que recuperé la cuenta mandando fotos de la caja y key al soporte de Steam, demostrando mi autoría al instante.

Tras hablar con VALVe y entregarme mi cuenta, vi que durante todo el tiempo que estuvo en sus manos, el hacker la había usado para jugar Team Fortress 2, quizás usando bots. Creo que aún no había objetos en el juego, pero sí recuerdo perfectamente que de alguna forma reseteó mis estadísticas de horas jugadas de cada clase.

También borró a todos mis amigos, pero agregó a alguien. A una sola persona. Todavía la tengo en mi lista de bloqueados y sigo viéndolo conectado de vez en cuando. Adjunto captura.

Han pasado muchos años pero estoy pensando que quizás sea hora de pedirle explicaciones...
