@TEnglishSport Great article - yes it’s got a bit of Groundhog day, but playing SA on their home turf are the kind of fixtures this Scotland team needs
Some breathtaking stuff. Literally
@AndyBurke_ Kind of strange that “no injury caused” was a mitigating factor, rather than solely on actual intent. Which was to intentionally put his fingers in a players eye.
@AndyBurke_@TEnglishSport Ireland have tended to outmuscle Scotland - nullify the Scottish flair and win on getting the basics right. Wales almost did the same.
Given the blinding performance vs France, what does Townsend change against Ireland - if anything?
@AndyBurke_ Look on the bright side….the French rugby podcast must be REALLY dull. No debates over team selection. “On est magnifiques"
Maybe they only talk about fromage? 🧀
@TEnglishSport@AndyBurke_ looking back to pre-match predictions, I doubt Sigmund Freud could decode the Scottish psyche!
Credit where it’s due. Russell magic and Townsend substitutions got the win
@will_owen9 A 2nd row giraffe briefly thought he was Antoine Dupont.
Such a shame for Wales as you boys had parity for 20mins against the best in northern hemisphere 👏
@ellsdesign_ It’s madness
An Irishman born and raised on the island gets abuse while Gibson-Park, genuinely a “foreigner” by definition the haters claim to care about, doesn’t. Both assets to Irish rugby. Neither deserves abuse.
The trigger? The amount of melanin in Edwin’s skin. That’s it.
@gallagherbren58@IanMacGilp You should appeal for a law change.
Currently: World Rugby’s law (Law 12.1) requires the ball to be thrown or passed “towards” the passer’s own dead-ball line - meaning backward relative to the player, not relative to the ground.
I think it works. Makes for a fast flowing game.
