The news of yesterday in the CA-Gov race wasn’t the tiny count (which was bad for Steyer), it was the massive new turnout projections (which kept hope alive). Went back on @CNNTheStoryIs with @Elex_Michaelson last night to talk about it.
Joe Biden crashed his wife’s book tour with an awkward question that left viewers cringing.
During a stop on Jill Biden’s book tour in New York, the former president suddenly emerged from the audience and interrupted the event, asking Jill who she loves most in the world.
“Whoopi,” Jill Biden replied with a laugh as moderator Whoopi Goldberg sat beside her on stage. Biden responded with a shrug.
The surprise appearance came as Jill Biden continues promoting her memoir and discussing some of the most difficult moments of the 2024 campaign.
🚨BREAKING: ICE AGENT ARRESTED
Reminder: DHS pushed their ridiculous SHOVEL HOAX to protect an ICE agent who shot a man, then falsely claimed he was attacked.
Now that ICE agent is in custody.
This is probably a long shot, but if anybody happens to be in DC this weekend and plans on visiting Arlington, I would love to see a fresh photo of my husband’s grave in Section 60.

There’s just something about knowing people still stop by, still say his name, still remember. 🇺🇸⭐🇺🇸
Thank you to my dear friend @SMirziyoyeva for making the journey from Tashkent to join us this evening at a special dinner in honor of Secretary Marco Rubio. Our cooperation with Uzbekistan has reached record levels of engagement.
Celebrating 250 years of American independence and excellence! Delighted to host @SecRubio at Roosevelt House this evening for a wonderful gathering with our friends and partners from the Indian government and business community, including @DrSJaishankar, @PiyushGoyal, @VikramMisri@SandhuTaranjitS.
🚨 UPDATE: We asked Spencer if he has ever lived in the trailer, and he said no, adding, "I have never told anyone I lived there." However, in the campaign ad, he says squarely, "This is where I live" as he stood in front of the trailer.
Yeah, she looks like the only one with her gun drawn aimed the threat while communicating, and correctly having trigger discipline. You guys love the second amendment except when it’s women, apparently. The misogyny isn’t even creative at this point, just nonsense.
Hahahahah the White House being a public venue rentable to outside groups. Greta, what happens when the KKK wants to do a chapter meeting in this “public” ballroom and gets denied then sues via SCOTUS 1st amendment claims. Lol you guys should think about things before tweeting.
“To clarify” (to quote you): I bet it could be worked out so that the White House Correspondents Association could pay the taxpayers for the use of the ballroom as they do pay the hotel.
I love that the White House position is now “build the ballroom” about… an attack at an external event. It’s not like the White House is going to host external groups to have their annual dinners in this golden ballroom lol.
Misogyny for the sake of being cool on conservative Twitter is just so dumb. She is a badass responding to a legit terrorist. What about this photo makes you think she has no business there? Shame on you.
Professor, you get half credit here. Right sentiment… Wrong authority / agency / statutory relevance. The U.S. Marshals protect Secretary Kennedy, not the department of homeland security or USSS. So it would be 28 USC chapter 37 that would be more relevant here.
I’m going to give him this one because it’s not his choice.
Secret Service will physically remove a cabinet level official against their will in a crisis.
Their family are the secondary detail, that either have a dedicated agent (for higher level positions) or should be supported if the primary asset is secure and they are able to support.
If RFK refuses to move, they have the literal authority to pick his ass up and move him against his will.
The Secret Service under the authority of 18 U.S.C. § 3056 have a mandatory protection requirement, that is interpreted in law as “owning the body”
In an emergency anyone under their protection, even a direct chain of command superior has no individual authority over them being secured.
I’m so sick and tired of idiots posting out of context photos of badass women in emergency situations to try and demean or belittle them. She’s likely shouting at innocent folks to get them to safety while expertly covering her colleagues.
I hope folks understand that the men and women of the @SecretService who have not received a paycheck in WEEKS put their bodies between bullets and the President of the United States tonight. Please mention that before giving your bad takes about the Secret Service.
🚨🚨🚨I just asked the White House whether they had confidemce in Secret Service Director Sean Curran this past Sunday after the most recent sex scandal involving a Secret Servive agent.
I didn’t get a response I could use.
This is a hiring and dilligence issue.
@RichStaropoli2 just wrote about the hiring problems a week and a half ago.
A lot of bad takes mocking members of the cabinet, Trump, etc for falling while being evacuated or looking scared, etc. Quite literally, shut up. Terrifying situation and the USSS did a remarkable job. Not only did they drop the shooter < 2 seconds after charging the mags, they also provided medical care to the shooter (and to their own personnel) after the scene was secure.
