Big businesses hold too much power over small firms when it comes to late payments.
We're fighting to change that.
📻Listen to @craigie_b on this morning's @bbc5live Wake up to Money discuss the Government's proposed measures to end late payments- most of which are based on FSB's recommendations⬇️
One of these days I’ll get to use my @AvantiWestCoast Club free coffee voucher on the train to London, but at the moment every time I go to get one the coffee machine isn’t working!
💡 #ICYMI: The Government’s new Small Business Plan sets out proposals aimed at helping small firms embrace new ideas and make the most of the next wave of digital technology 👨🏿💻
The proposals were made in response to the findings of the Government's SME Digital Adoption Taskforce, which FSB is part of.
📊 According to our #TechTonic report, small firms are a leading force in business innovation, with over two-thirds saying they have developed something new in the past three years.
💭 So, what were some of the key proposals in the Small Business Plan to help bring down barriers to digital innovation?
✅ 10 Downing Street will work with industry to support the delivery of taskforce recommendations and to drive up SME digital and AI adoption.
✅ The Government will appoint a minister responsible for SME digital and AI adoption.
✅ There will be a rollout of a ‘test and learn’ approach to digital adoption, helping the Department of Business and Trade to learn the best ways to support SME digital adoption.

@nxcoventry@TransportForWM I would like to raise a complaint about behaviour of a driver towards me when I was cycling to work this morning, is there an email address I can send details to. I would suggest remedial training is needed & an eyetest as he clearly can't read signs!
I'm a big advocate for active travel and public transport infrastructure so it disappoints and frustrates me when I see this behaviour from one of your drivers which will put people off using bicyles as a form of transport.
When I spoke to him at the bus stop in Earlsdon (he was going the same way as me, I did not chase him as he suggested) he proceeded to shout at me about why should tax payers pay for me to ride in a bus lane, suggesting I was not a tax payer (I was on my way to work!)
