Don’t know why I’ve stayed on here so long since Elon musk started flushing it down the pan. Time for X to become an ex. So long, and thanks for all the phish 🫡
Proud to be here @hiltonageasbowl with some of the @UHSDigital development team who’ve been nominated for the influential innovator non-clinical award. 25 years of systems development @uhsft#weareuhs
@AdeByrne@UHSDigital All the best for a long and peaceful retirement boss - erm, former-boss. Wow, that sounds weird! Thanks for all you’ve done for digital in health, & for me personally. We’re in a great place to continue doing health informatics the right way #interop. 👏🏻See you in a bar soon
I’ve been having a bloody nightmare trying to sort some @McAfee A/C things out on my Mac. Turns out I can’t get to some pages on their website is because I have *their* VPN turned on & set to the UK! And their support is shit!
Are you at #BSGLIVE23 expo from @BritSocGastro???
👍You are? 😀...
Then get yourself down to stand A36 and check out the fantastic new endoscopy software from @uhshicss … it's a game changer!!!🏥🏥🏥🩺🩺💻💻

I’m going to take a leaf out of @FionaLawsonNHS’s book and do my 3 things to be thankful for this week.
First up is to thank those who supported digital elements in a very tough budget setting round for UHS this year. Lots we can’t do but some important steps forwards.
Thirdly, nurses (and HCAs) everywhere, for being so calm and caring even when patients are being so difficult and frankly horrible. How do we find ourselves in a time when I hear a nurse having to ask a patient (remarkably politely) not to spit at staff? 😡😒#nurses#Heroes
Brilliant to see the development of our future women IT leaders. I’ve personally been heavily influenced & inspired in my digital career by a couple of amazing women. So pleased to see that there’ll be more to hopefully inspire another generation.

🤔How do digital health system developers ensure that patient safety is built into the development process??🤔

How does your trust manage this vital work????
My blog's had a name change. Wordpress has also stopped allowing posts to be auto-shared here due to increased Twitter API costs. If you want to continue to follow my blog about the effects of spinal cord herniation/adhesions, subscribe at https://t.co/MSgSgAE3mR
@Nat_Steel@mymedrec@UHSDigital@UHSFT I’ve decided we’re not biased, its just that we know what good really looks like. Of course, my views on bias might be a little umm, biased! 😱🤣
Maybe I’m biased but @mymedrec is bloody brilliant! Received two notifications *during* pre-assessment appt to say I had new measurements in my record. Went for bloods about 9.45, got notified at 11.04 that those blood results had been added. Nerves settled 💙 @UHSDigital@UHSFT
One final thing (for now). Couldn’t help be just a little amused and proud when the nurse (before knowing what my job is) was saying how brilliant our systems are compared to the “horrendous” one she had to use when she did a stint in Oxford. “Couldn’t wait to get back” 🤣
I should add that the pre-assessment process itself was great. I’ve had similar neurosurgery before, but I was still somewhat anxious going in. Nurse was excellent, clear explanation to everything, no sense of rushing me. Next stop surgery and hopefully an even better life. 🤞🏻
