@DanNeidle Business rates for small businesses eats up their cash so they don’t invest in assets, don’t employ people and don’t take risks to grow. Ultimately suppress economic growth (just like increased taxes). Tax strategy should be increased taxes on money taken out of small businesses

@Channel4News As someone who works with small businesses they are all saying they can’t afford to employ people. Those who can are offshoring service workers as they are available and cost effective. The pressure on prices means that small
companies can’t afford to hire and still make a profit
