Morning so where were you 25 years ago at this time? I was doing a lunch event in Barking Essex. People's phone were going off and they were leaving the room in droves I thought it was my presentation Dave (my agent) was interviewing me and we cut it short we were left with 20 people out of 150 then we found out what had happened in the US. It was a piece of History that we should never forget and our kids hopefully in Schools all over the UK need telling the terrible story. So today with my American friends lets join them in a moment of remembrance & reflection.

It has been the privilege of my life to serve as the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

The economy today is stronger, fairer and more resilient because of the choices we have taken as a Labour Government over the past two years.

Stability restored, investment delivered and reform to our economy under way. I said when I was appointed Chancellor that I would judge my time in office if the lives ordinary working class people have been improved. I’m proud to say that they have.

And to every young woman and girl let my time in office show there should be no ceilings on your ambitions, your hopes or your dreams.
