A year ago today, the previous UK government hiked duty on #ScotchWhisky and other spirits by 10.1%, and ploughed on with a 'reformed' system which taxes spirits up to x4 more than other alcohol per unit of alcohol

Spirits revenue has now dropped in 6 of 8 months since the @hmtreasury 10.1% tax hike on #ScotchWhisky and other spirits in August
