@such_hockey_wow @redditships Calbcn makes a good point in the comments there. Doing proper user testing on the app you're developing is extremely superior to heuristic evaluation like OP was doing. Every app is, or should be, just a little different. Each one is, or should be, solving a different problem.

@AITA_reddit NTA. I'm not a big fan of "brutal honesty". But, this is the perfect time to tell a friend the truth. The tipping point for me was "acting in my best interest". Nick has a cynical and mercenary philosophy of life. He's not only TA in this situation, but probably in others.

@AITA_reddit NTA. "When in Rome" does not always apply. Public nudity varies considerably from country to country. It's rude not to be sensitive to these differences. It's rude for Germans (or Japanese, etc.) not to be sensitive if foreigners in their country are uncomfortable with nudity.
