On Wednesday, 8th April, my wife of thirty two years, Maureen O’Donovan, passed away. I’ve written about it here. Sorry it’s very long but it was a very long marriage. https://t.co/yQA4W82WvP
More interesting to me is what happens in 2031. Can the SNP hold on to power simply based on “standing up for Scotland”. I certainly wouldn’t rule that out.
A lot of friends of mine on here analysing and mocking the weekend currency plan. Fair enough up to a point but, in truth, it isn’t necessary. There is not going to be another referendum. It’s over. Even the SNP privately realise that.
I would like to give my informed consent to be putting back on display at Kelvingrove, I dont like it in this cupboard with the mops and buckets

Quite right. Women should not put themselves at risk but management should make it clear any civil servant found to have ignored the law will be summarily dismissed. Someone should ask management if they will do that.
Civil servants have been told not to challenge trans women who wrongly use female lavatories.
Guidance published on Thursday states that trans people in Whitehall departments should only use the lavatories and changing rooms of their biological sex, not their gender identity.
However, it also warned staff against “confronting” biological men using the wrong facilities, saying it could “amount to unlawful harassment”.

I appreciate the SNP Leadership and the Scottish political press have a mutual benefit in flogging the independence dead horse but the rest of Scotland has long since moved on.

So I’m in the kitchen and ask my step son if I can throw out the burnt toast he has left next to the toaster. “If you don’t want it” is his reply. As if he thought burnt toast was a delicacy for which I might have a particular penchant.
Frequent reference this morning to “currency, pensions, mortgages” at SNP conference. Some bemoan the lack of answers. Others say answers exist, but are not accessible enough. But nobody talks about the real issue: that the answers are all somewhere between unpalatable and toxic.
