We understand the high bills, but can IBEDC and UCH management please find a quick solution? Health care should not be paused because of electricity issues—our people deserve better!
This is really disheartening! How can a major hospital like UCH be left without light and water for 17 days? Patients are suffering, surgeries are delayed, and test results are on hold—all because of a power cut.
Patients and some families of patients are protesting unavailability of water and electricity after IBEDC disconnected UCH's power for 17 days, which has affected vital hospital operations like delays in test results and surgeries, among others.
UCH management says the hospital falls under the “Band A” electricity tariff structure, which requires them to pay N80 million monthly.
