A 24-year-old Muslim man, Ali Khan, was reportedly beaten to death after a dispute over a train seat in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

According to his family and friends, the argument began when another passenger allegedly tried to take Khan’s seat and claimed links to a right-wing organization.

Although the situation initially appeared to calm down, Khan’s companions say that when the train stopped at Bordehi railway station around midnight, a group of men pulled him off the train while chanting religious slogans and assaulted him on the platform, leading to his death.

Police have opened an investigation, but authorities have not yet announced any arrests.

At Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, members of the first batch of returning Haj pilgrims raised allegations of missing and allegedly damaged luggage after arriving from Saudi Arabia following the Hajj pilgrimage.

Several pilgrims claimed that their bags were either missing or found with broken locks, and alleged that valuables and personal items were stolen. Some passengers also said they had to wait for hours without clear information from airport authorities regarding their baggage.

During the situation, a commotion reportedly broke out at the airport, and an elderly pilgrim allegedly felt unwell and fell down, after which fellow passengers assisted him. Officials from the Uttar Pradesh Haj Committee later welcomed returning pilgrims and said that cases of missing luggage would be investigated. The return of Haj flights is scheduled to continue till mid-June.

A pregnant Muslim woman in Delhi’s Shakurpur has alleged that she was assaulted and hit in the stomach during a violent attack by a mob allegedly linked to Bajrang Dal.

According to the family, 15–20 men allegedly stormed their home after a dispute involving a rickshaw driver, brutally beating her father and brother inside their house. The woman claims she was physically assaulted while trying to protect them, her clothes were pulled, and she was threatened with rape.

She says attackers openly threatened to kill the family, while her father and brother sustained serious injuries. Fearing for the safety of her unborn child, she later underwent medical tests.

The family has also accused Delhi Police of inaction and insensitive behaviour. The woman alleged that when she approached the police, an officer mockingly asked her: “Kya hua, rape karke chhod diya tujhe?” (“What happened, did they rape you and leave you?”).

A 25-year-old Muslim man was allegedly beaten to death by a mob in Bihar’s Siwan district after being taken from his home.

His wife, Mobina, alleged that Amit Chaudhary alias Avadhesh Chaudhary, Pramendra Manjhi, Chhatthu Manjhi, Avadh Kishore Chaudhary, Guddu Manjhi, Ranjan Chaudhary, Mantu Kumar, and several others were involved in the assault.

According to the complaint, Shahzad was allegedly tied to a tree and brutally beaten with sticks and kicked repeatedly, resulting in his death. The complainant further alleged that approximately ₹5,000 in cash that Shahzad was carrying was taken during the incident.
