UIBFS was honoured to join the Capital Markets Authority (CMA Uganda) in celebrating 30 years of transforming Uganda’s capital markets and advancing investment opportunities.

Representing UIBFS, our CEO, Mrs. Goretti Masadde, joined the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa; the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Uganda, Prof. Augustus Nuwagaba; CMA Board Chairperson, Mr. Saul Sseremba; and CMA CEO, Mrs. Josephine Okui Ossiya, alongside other distinguished dignitaries and industry leaders.

A key highlight of the celebrations was the launch of The 30-Year Investor Campaign, an initiative by CMA Uganda in collaboration with UIBFS to promote long-term investing, strengthen investor awareness, and encourage more Ugandans to participate in the capital markets.

A new milestone for financial inclusion in Uganda.

The Uganda Institute of Banking & Financial Services (UIBFS) has partnered with Pebuu Africa to develop and manage an e-learning platform designed to reach more than 330,000 mobile money and bank agents across Uganda.

The platform will equip agents with practical knowledge and skills in financial literacy, regulatory compliance, consumer protection, fraud prevention, digital security and responsible customer service.

The partnership was formalised by Mrs. Goretti Masadde, Chief Executive Officer, UIBFS, alongside the Pebuu Africa team, marking an important step towards strengthening the capacity of financial services agents and supporting a more secure, inclusive and responsible financial ecosystem.

We look forward to the impact of this partnership in advancing financial literacy and professional development across Uganda.
