Yfull updated the MtDNA and it’s a basal form of M1a8b. M1a8 was really a globe-trekker, as you can see.
I can truly say both of paternal and maternal lineages were globe-trekkers.
Bosaso (formerly Bandar Qasim) was founded in the 14th century (c. 1300s CE) by a Mehri man from Al Mahra named Qasim, according to the traditional account preserved in historical sources.

I’ve had teachers who taught me some Quran, Nahw, Hadith and a bit of Maliki Fiqh who were Fulani, still in contact w/ some.I’ve also studied side by side in Egypt with some of them.Strong people who honor Islam and have contributed to its spread in much of Africa. حفظهم الله
Africa’s worst nightmare.
Fulanis from Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, and Benin embrace their Somali brothers in Sokodé, Togo.
They say when a Somali comes to West Africa, they become Fulani.
@Mikael1Islam There are Ydna tests that test the Y Haplogroups of men and see if the Y chromosome men inherit from their men matches up. It’s very easy to figure out nowadays. There is a whole website dedicated to this,Somalis from multiple clans and subclans tested

True in principle but false historically. The last time we’ve had a united Ummah acting in its own interests against outsiders was during the reign of Banu Umayyah. Once they were overthrown, the Ummah has remained disunited and oftentimes have allied with non-Muslims against other Muslims. This is nothing new. It has been the status quo for large spans of Muslim history. One could call that out. But one cannot make it seem like it’s a modern development.
This can also be why many Cushitic lowland groups in the Horn are by and large mostly if not completely Muslim. Islam fit right into their ideals of being your own man and owning what you work for and the equality already within their traditions.
Of course these systems I doubt are practiced still in modern day Ethiopia with modernization. But I’m assuming it has a huge effect on how they approach modern governance in today’s world.
