Had the same transition myself. I agree with all except the usage limit part. It was the opposite for me and am curious about the reason.
It can be related to my team's documentation standard and how each handles reading docs. For some tasks, codex was reading a lot of documentation, hitting the context limit, auto-compact and reading some docs again. This happened like 3 weeks ago.
Moved to Claude after Codex.
Current status personally for me:
Opus 5.5:
- Everything is great so far
- Limits are draining too fast
GPT 6.1 Sol:
- No problems with limits at all
- Bad at UI and visual in general
- Very slow
- Clearly less capable than Opus
@mattpocockuk You just switched very early and have set the bar quite high for ai courses. You are probably the only one I watch to learn nowadays. For anything else, I just talk to an LLM.
@wesbos@martinjdolan@kentcdodds@amacarthur i wasn't aware of the YouTube kids allowlist feature and vibed my own app. currently also adding a remote control
i also add a listen mode. i try to limit screen time but relaxed on stories
@adam_bobowski I am using both. Codex has rhe better app and claude has the better models in general.
Though these can change based on the situation. claude's ios simulator usage was better the last time I used
@haberebibak Olayın fuzulev ile ilgisi yok. Her şey olması gerektiği gibi işliyor.
Fuzulev olmasa vergi vermemek için yine düşük göstermesi gerekecek zaten. Olması gereken satıcının bu vergiyi ödemeyi göze alması
@mitchellh Model capability has improved dramatically over the years. Taste, not so much. And as people hand off more of the work, I think the overall level of taste is actually declining.
@ThePrimeagen People saying AI just does frontend and in my experience that is the worst it is at. I am in desperate need to work with a designer and the companies are getting rid of them.
I don't know where we are going
