تأكيدًا على أهمية دور العمل الإنساني خلال الأزمات، اجتمع ممثلو الجمعيات الوطنية للصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر في الدورة 37 للجنة الإسلامية للهلال الدولي والندوة الدولية حول الوضع الإنساني في فلسطين.

تمنى الدكتور محمد مطلق الحديد، رئيس @_JNRCS «على المجتمع الدولي تخصيص ممرات آمنة لدخول المساعدات الإنسانية الى قطاع غزة وبشكل كاف»، كما واستنكر «أي هجوم على سيارات الإسعاف والطواقم الطبية والإعلام».

من جهتها، أكدت @KateForbes_IFRC، رئيسة @ifrc، على أهمية إيلاء العمل الإنساني أولوية، مشيرة إلى أن الآثار الإنسانية الصعبة التي تعانيها غزة يجب ألا تنسينا المعاناة الإنسانية في العديد من المناطق الأخرى في العالم، مثل السودان وغيرها.
