BREAKING: Kachalla Auta, a notorious bandit leader who has terrorised communities in Zurmi LGA, Zamfara State, was killed during a clash with security forces.

His fighters were first ambushed last night, with several reportedly killed and their motorcycles recovered. By morning, the group resurfaced along the Boko–Moriki axis, where troops engaged them again in a fierce firefight.

Auta was reportedly among those killed in the operation.

His death would be a major setback for the group and its operations in the area.

Kudos to the Nigerian security forces for maintaining the pressure and confronting these armed groups on the ground.
