See for me right this is how I look at it-
Gerrard
Clement
GVB
Great managers no real proper funding
Mcinnes
Rohl
Martin
Spunked money like playing a game of monopoly
We have had a period of good managers no money and shite managers and plenty money.
My take
@AyeReady87 Its this signing policy, the 49ers want to flip players and mak a profit, and I get that, I totally do, its how you build a fortune, but there still has to be a balance, you still need old heads in there to win
Those half time changes baffled me, yes we were playing pish but McInnes has already proven tactics arent his strong point, just get in there at half time and give thrm a kick up the arse, maybe swap Gassama for Curtis or Sterling for Nedeljkovic, but to then go on and change the formation about 532 times is just madness
I was a big supporter of McInnes getting the job, i'm honest enough to admit that, but hes looked so out his depth these last few weeks its frightening and i'm not sure bringing in better players will even make a difference with bad coaching decisions in every game
4 seasons, 4 managers, 4 different set of players, 4 different styles.
British to foreign, British to foreign, foreign to British.
Unstable meets unstable. No contiunation.
10s of millions spent in fees, wages, bonuses.
10s of million raised by Gio, Clement, Gerrard and even Beale got us European football consistency with cash flowing through so we could improve the squad but we ended up sacking 3 of them because we didn't see the future (some of us did when you start to see a mess like Watford)
All that money, European experience wasted all for what? So we can have a staunch chap out of his depth on the sideline cause he talks well on the media, may as well get Maurice Ross around the club to continue that shite.
I'm sick of seeing people truly believe in the past the grass was greener when we should be sacking managers. It's why I've had arguments galore on here because you can't change squads, managers and styles going back and forth an fucking sideways and expect trophies.
You can sack managers galore and keep winning trophies as long as the players are there that have done it before like the other side of Glasgow have done.
Now we are set for a whole season of negative football that we have been against as a fanbase for a decade.
Sadly believe the new owners have took some lessons from fans and you are now seeing the result of it because so many wanted McInnes and Scottish core of players. But the warnings have been there for a decade, there's a tiny amount of Scottish players that are good in the market we are in. We have to pounce quickly as a club but we never did, now we are having to solely rely on getting that type of Scottish player on loan in Penrice.
The ownership need to take a step back and get out of fan base, instead of listening to what we want as a team. Find out own identity like we did under Gerrard, Gio and Clement where the club didn't take influence by the fans.
I am not blaming anyone other than the ownership, they should be drafting up sackings or Thelwell and Purdy. Creating an identity of Rangers.
Instead they are doing rebuilds every 6 months and it was the same in the previous board. There's been a huge issue at the club where it's listening to certain aspects of the fan base and going ' you know what to get them back on side we are gonna do what they are suggesting ' it wins over the fans short term for sure but it's not right. It's a disgrace how bad this club is set up given how many millions are being spent!!
Kevin Kelsy is now close to becoming a Rangers player.
The Venezuelan strikerโs visa is the final hurdle before he travels to Scotland from the MLS.

I'm not mate, read what I said, I dont think Barry is the answer, but I do wonder if they'd given him a season instead of replacing him with Martin, would we currently be in as bad a situation... its not one extreme or the other with me, theres shades of grey, and genuinely as much as I dont think Barry was the best man for the job, I dont think we've done ANY better with his successors
Lol I dont think thats comparable, going to a shite team like Clyde with absolutely no resources is a totally different ball game from managing the club you captained for years, i'm not ssying hes the answer, but he beat Celtic and Mourinho in his short stint, and zi seriously doubt McInnes could even dream about that
@adz0712@chris_sutton73 Yet the 2 lesser teams from Edinburgh have actually done themselves proud (regardless of how this Hibs game finishes)... the Glasgow teams need ro hang their heads in shame
@ArrC94 I don't think Shankland should continue to be captain, not only does he looks largely anonymous, but I suspect the weight of the arm band is distracting him from what he was signed to do... the problem is I look around that team and can't think of one person to take it off him
