I CAN NOT stress enough that this is not AI as you think of it. @SamWitwer studied the movement, the inflections, the facial expressions of @WilliamShatner down to the minutia. Then he had to move his face in ways that didn't make sense, so that the digital makeup would do what he wanted. It was astounding to see in real-time. It was like Andy Serkis level of nuanced performance acting.
