I’m a representative of AS41745 (Baykov Ilya Sergeevich aka me) which is legacy RU ASN.

First things first: I’ve seen reports mentioning that resources of some Russian hosting providers were used to host propaganda.
I don’t know the details and don’t want to tbh — but friends have sent me messages that there have been similar cases on my network.

If you encounter any propaganda or disinformation hosted on IPs within our ASN, please send me a direct message with the details (domain/IP, screenshot, date).

Scraping 20+ hosts and thousands of VMs runs in parallel (1 thread/host): ~1s per 200 VMs.
Storage needs depends on aggregation. By default, 30 days of RX/TX metrics for 10k interfaces takes ~7-8 GB.

Better instance metrics collector for OpenStack done with historical aggregation in mind. 0 queries to OpenStack API because data resolved through what OVN SB DB have.
Stack: libvirt + Redpanda (or Kafka as metrics transport) + Clickhouse (storage + agg).
