I have autism and moderate learning difficulties.
I lost my parents when I was 18. I was bullied and attacked. People say I’m ugly and call me names but I’m proud of everything I achieved. I’ve decided to write a book to help others who have been bullied or lost loved ones. ❤️
Sometimes I get asked if I would feel differently about #autism if he had high support needs. No. Would it be harder? Yes. Would I try to cure something he has no control over? Would I resent him? No. Would I help him reach his potential and meet him where he is at? Yes.
Great to attend our strategic planning meeting for #Autism looking to launch our engagement very soon and seek views on a co- production approach in developing the strategy @PeteMatthews19@Autism_Network@AJABurnett @OSSAberdeen
