Listening I’m not siding with anyone, but I will say this
People were mad nothing was said
Then when something was finally said, people were mad it wasn’t precisely what they wanted to hear
And now consequences are being faced
Am I saying the consequences are right? No
I’ve got no time for people telling me I need to do research or it’s shameful of me or any of the rest of that patronizing bullshit. I’ve always wanted a free Palestine and an Israel that can live in peace too no matter how complicated the politics of that is.
On a day where those who have wished the same things and been punished for it my thoughts are with the Israeli hostages and their families and hoping for their safe release and with all the Palestinian families in Gaza and hoping for an immediate ceasefire.
The amount of people who chastise Michael, a man twice their age who took part in humanitarian activity for decades, for not picking a side in a literal war is astounding. Twitter's a madhouse.
What Hamas did is horrific. What Netanyahu is doing is horrific. If a call for compassion for innocent people suffering on both sides brings such vitriol then thats a shame.
Anyone got any good tips to make extra cash? I'm not actually hard up or anything, but I've been cutting into my savings about $100-200 per month and it's really worrying me and I live as frugally as I can already, but figure skating is an expensive hobby...
@caedmonfaith I'll give advice or opinions on child development, as my professional responsibility. I think a trusting relationship with student parents is vital, so I hope they respect my expertise. But I would never take teaching advice from a parent so I can't imagine offering the reverse
@caedmonfaith I'm a childless preschool teacher with more than a decade of experience working with children from birth to age 14 and even I would never give someone advice or opinions on parenting (unless explicitly asked). You can't share an experience with something if you have none?
