@GrumpyMoe@DivestSPD This is the only post I've seen of theirs and it's pro-gun and pro "stand your ground".
They make Kirk arguments even if they may have had a lovers' quarrel. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@DivestSPD I know you hate gun reform, but unloading your ghost gun into a crowded public event makes you... A danger to the public. It's almost too on the nose. If you think toddlers being shot in public is just the price we pay like your hero Mr Kirk, may you end the same.
@julie_bush But I suspect you don't know or care about these men. You're angry about Holmes bc she's you. Peaked too early. The imposter syndrome turned out to be true with no soft place to land. So now you must distract and blame structural forces and never yourself. Womp.
@julie_bush You're the one that brought up burning witches there moment a white woman faced even meager consequences for her actions.
But since your the self-professed expert here who are the men running these frauds?
I am deeply concerned for the people who watched this clip and heard “don’t work out” or “working out is fascism.” Another devastating blow for active listening and comprehension.
The scientific gerontocracy will clap for Rand Paul as they burn the NIH to the ground. The Boomer urge to destroy anything good after getting the world handed to you on a platter is too strong. Embarrassingly bad stewards of science.
Amidst all this discussion of the COVID origin docs released recently by the Senate committee, I remain dumbfounded by the CONTINUED lack of interest of the scientific community into where this pandemic came from.
Whatever you think about the motivations of the people who wrote the Proximal Origins paper (and the documents certainly call those into question), the effect of this on the scientific community writ large was to signal that the official stance was "natural origin" and that any questioning of that claim, let alone investigations into it, were anti-science conspiracy theories.
I'm hardly a lab leak proponent - I've said all along that my prior was natural origins, although that's shifted a bit with subsequence disclosures - but it was really quite ugly how even being publicly open to the possibility of lab leak was treated as an apostasy - despite the fact that many scientists agreed in private.
I hope scientists - especially those with political or other influence - will reflect on this and when called upon to discuss scientific issues of great public import will place far less emphasis on "controlling the narrative" and instead will emphasize protecting public inquiry and being personally open minded.
@kalebjackson00@sakuraxtsukino Yeah, "conventionally attractive" is racist, sexist, anti-trans, fatphobic, etc. You don't like the racism, but the rest you just accepted as "human nature." Seems like you're just mad you didn't get to be the one deemed "conventionally attractive"
@kalebjackson00@sakuraxtsukino Oh, so you still want there to be a hierarchy and privilege of attractiveness... You're just mad you're not at the top. Got it, got it.
