Relief goods can help families survive after a disaster, but they are not a long-term solution.

It is heartbreaking to see people suffer from the same floods over and over again. People deserve more than aid after losing their homes and livelihoods, they deserve proper drainage, effective flood control, and real solutions that will keep their communities safe.

Hindi dapat puro ayuda pagkatapos ng baha. We need lasting solutions so no family has to suffer and lose everything again and again.

In this kind of weather, it really is a privilege for those people who are living on higher grounds—and I am one of the privileged ones. I don't need to worry when or how am I able to keep myself safe and dry for the flood simply doesn't reach us. And I can't help but worry for those who doesn't have the same privilege as mine. Those people who are now evacuating to a safer place with nothing but their last clinging hope for safety. Those people who are now thinking how to handle the aftermath they'll face as the weather hits them continuously.

I could only pray and wish for them to be safe and dry until the weather finally calms down.
